Incase you guys don't know what a Mazda Furai is... here's some eyecandy.

Actually it is more like the spiritual successor to the 787B, so they are dreaming of a 24hr LeMans trophy again. But downgrading to a 3 rotor (450HP) instead of the 4 rotor (700HP) used in the 787B might not have been the best of ideas.

What exactly does a rotary-powered, ALMS-chassis car have to do with an F1 car other than having 4 wheels?

There are pedal shifters. You can see him close his fingers towards the steering wheel, and the sound changes gears. :P

3-Rotor Mazda's are, by far, one of the best-sounding engines out there IMO simply because there is no other sound like it. To hear one in video is one thing, but to hear them in person is something completely different. They sound INCREDIBLE at full-song!
