My first race weekend :)
As some of you know I had to sell my FG2 to be able to go racing. Something I always wanted to do. You can check out more here in my previous post
2006 Civic Si- bye bye :( I had to sell the DX too. ha ha cars..... I am currently driving a 06 Element which is my brothers car. He is never home really so he said why not sell the car and just drive mine.... thanks bro! OK so like the topic says.... My first race weekend. Started out in the rain on Friday which was very fun. :) Saturday I had no brakes, so tried some pads that came with the car lets just say they were street pads and I had to come in after two laps cause I almost went off. Put my old race pads which were more then half gone back on with some spacers behind them to get threw my day on Saturday. Saturday I also went off track and then started to have a vibration from the front in HARD turns. Turns out the steering column bushing gave way- it was saturday night so couldn't really do anything so we put some duct tape around it to act as a shim to make it thru the day on Saturday and get me to race day on Sunday. Passed my drivers school. That means I got my license to race and that means I get to race sunday! Sunday was the race. Got some hawk blues, so I had brakes- always nice to have friends in high places (Thanks to King Motorsports for the help) Finished first in my class :) Seeing those new M3s coming up behind you is nuts- I was just like ok not in my class just go around me! Here are some pictures :) My favs: ![]() ![]() ![]() After the race: ![]() More pictures at: Civic_Sista - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Car is now at King again for the inner tie rod end and some bushings. Next race is a double at Road America May 31st/June 1st. Last edited by Civic_Sista; 05-13-2008 at 07:22 PM. |

I have to meet a min weight- meaning driver and car. I have to race with a FULL size tire (37 lbs) in the trunk to make weight. When I was getting weighed after the race the tech lady was all I need the driver where it he? I was like ummm wrong gender I am a girl :) It was pretty funny. |
