your story got me thinking. im making payments on my 08 civic but i don't feel like messing up the new car. i had a suzuki swift gt before buying the civic and i loved racing it, i just never had time to go to the track to get my racing licence. i bought the new civic trying to calm down and stop racing and make it look nice instead but 2 weeks ago i took it to an autocross to test it out (just couldn't resist) and i still have racing in my blood lol.

i would be willing to sell the civic in order to have a race car. racing is expensive, i agree with you on that one, specially with the courses you have to take to get your track licence, then parts for your car, and thats my preference now while still being young. your post opened up my eyes

If you are looking for a car check out SCCAForums.com - SCCA Racing Discussions People are always selling cars. I am racing in Showroom stock- the car is completely stock expect for safety stuff, exhaust, and brake pads. Its a fun class cause you don't have to have a ton of money to keep up with other in the class.

Ha ha- I hear that often.

I have lots of money and time invested into the car. Don't really wanna think about it.

Career? no just a hobby. I am still in school and work full time.
Yeah, I knew you weren't quiting your day job to race but it's a nice side job.

Is this event open for spectators?
I'm at RA a couple times in the the summer (AMA, ALMS, Champcar).
It would be cool to see you tearing up corner 5.
