K20 Owners and R18 Owners Unite!!!!!
This thread made in regards to all the back-and-forth arguing that used to happen amongst the K20 and R18 owners, but now all differences aside, we unite!
seriously though, even though the non-Si gets a few more miles than the Si, those few miles still come in handy, esp. with gas prices these days and the Si owners having to put premium fuel. I am so grateful and happy that my job gave me a company car with a gas card, and yes i only fill up my Si maybe once a month, since it's a weekend car now, but when that time comes to fill up my Si, im always like ![]() ![]() for those of you that still think ur civic is better than the other, stay out. |

I think we all can agree the 8th gen Civic is a great car and offers the option of r18 or k20 to suit the drivers needs/wants. Which ever engine you picked its great to know that your driving a class leading car.
r18 Civic at less than 20k has no real equall. K20 Civic at its price is also a killer deal. Sure some cars might be cheaper or better equipped. Some might get better MPG or make more power. But hopefully your driving an 8th gen Civic becuase its the right car for you and your situation. |

I have an 07 EX, and I just took mine into the dealership this weekend for a couple recalls... So While I was waiting, I test drove an Si. I must admit it was really fun... And now I know I really want one, its just not really practical for me to trade in my EX when I still owe about 9k on it. Plus, my insurance would go up with an Si, and I would get less mpg and use premium gas... I have about 12k miles on mine, so according to kbb I would get about 16.5-ish for trade in... So mayyybe if I find a used Si with low miles I might think about trading up.

8th gen civic equals teh sex, regardless of trim level. Besides, Edmund's puts it best in the summary:
What Edmunds.com says Comfortable, smartly designed and available in a wide array of configurations, the 2008 Honda Civic sets the bar for the small car segment. |

Loving the warm weather rolling in at last. 58 mpg sure is nice since F'ing Shell is 3.93 now. I feel bad for teh TDI owners. 4.96 ouch! |

Indeed I did, but there are definitely days when I miss my EX. The R18s are great cars

![]() I'll get yew, yew wascaly hybwid! I love Elmer Fudd. Nope, Canada sucks. Just kidding, If you have a regular CSX then it's kind of like a half Si, half R18 (it's got a K20 but only 160hp). If you have a type-s then it's basically an Si sedan in a tux, so now you can pick your side. Sorry, I meant skip to page ten or so. Last edited by splew; 05-12-2008 at 01:39 PM. |
