stock rsx type s should be quicker...in the quarters....

circuit race wise....Si wins by a landslide...LSD

dc5 is hotter, lighter, and has more space in the back.

who cares that the fg2 might be .1 - .3 faster because of lsd.

Yeah I think so too. Si should win by reaching top speed with its better aerodynamics.

the ONLY thing the rsx's have on the civics is that the fact that the rsx is 100% made in japan.

the newest dc5's (05-06) had dbw I thought. Anyways it isn't an issue, if you have an si you know that rpm lag disappears past 4.5k+

Limited Slip Differential.
Basically, our helical LSD helps put power to the outside wheel in a corner, helping with cornering properties. Integras don't have this.

acid..

limited slip diff.. means we get power to both wheels all the time.. if a wheel spins then the other will also get power. open diff- when one wheel spins all the power goes to the spinning wheel.

^^ thats not correct.

Open differential sends the same amount of torque to the each wheel at all times.

Limited slip differential is able to send more torque to the wheel that is not slipping

open diff = ability to send the same power to two wheels that are spinning at a different speeds. (aka ability to add power while turning)

limited slip diff = ability to send different amounts of power to two wheels. (aka adding power to wheel with more traction thereby reducing slippage on opposite wheel)

stop this thread now before it raises hell like the others. op do a search and stop the debates. on paper the Type-S is faster however, there is to many factors that could happen that could determine the outcome of the race. the biggest facter is the driver. this along with so many other things determines the faster car.
