On almost every car I've had, I get panicky around 36,000 and want out. Terrible isn't it. I have high mileage on this car. 36,000 in two years. But I know to get the hell out of a lease before it's over when the milage is ^^^

I'm thinking maybe I should sell or swap my wheels.

If you are planning on getting rid of the meanie, then selling them apart from the car would be a good idea (as long as you have the OEMs to put back on). By and large you will get ZERO for them on a trade (some places will actually reduce the trade amount on a car have 'custom' wheels), but 'may' get a little bit more for the car in a private sale to a person who wants those particular wheels on that particular car.

Selling them separately won't get you back what you paid (expect about 50%-70%), but it gets you back more than "nothing".

absolutely....certainly should strip all you can prior to sale. Unless you find a buyer that wants your exact setup otherwise modded=loss during sale. It is funny though some ads I see have a 10k car with 10k mods and the seller is asking for 20k....can they be serious?

I am sure you are already aware of all this, but it can't hurt to help someone else out with this useful knowledge.

Does anyone have any suggestions that don't include a gazzillion dollars worth of mods. FI is out of the question right now. I'm on the starving college student budget.

Yeah, with a gun rack...and some mud flaps...and a license plate frame that says something about 'cold dead fingers'.

If it fits your budget and makes you feel better, why not?

Subaru's lease deals for the Impreza and WRX seem nice and cheap, but you do not seem interested on a turbo AWD with controversial exterior.

Get through school and move away. Last thing you need as a starving college student is more debt. If driving is important to you, move somewhere that will accommodate your sporty car desires.

You have done just about everything to your car but I wouldnt say you have done everything... Personally Id get a CF hood (stock looking one) CF trunk (keep the blue wing) CF spliter and maybe a CF roof overlay would look damn sexy... but I know thats not everyones taste

But for real part it out, sell it, and buy something new. Life's too short to drive a car you dont love.

Make love in it? Dunno, your running low on options.

BTW, you don't sound like a "poor" college student wanting to upgrade to a Lexus or the likes.

I get tired of my car very quickly. The solution I came up with was to have several sets of wheels. Feels/looks like a different car each time I change it up.

I hate what they did to the WRX.

The cars I want, have leases that are actually less than my current car payment. I can afford my car. Compared to what I was making a year ago ($5k a month) I'm poor. Because I don't even make half of that now. I want to lease because I think I may have car ADD.

I think this may be my most cost effective option for now.

I got a better return than that on my RPM2's... but then, I bought them before anybody had heard of them on here.

And used them for a month. lol. it's true people, Tim was the second person to get them after RPM2. Then we strong armed him into putting them on his car. Still the sickest wheels that he's had yet.

That may be true, but you've made them iconic... well, at least a Civic icon.

I saw your old rims in person! Those were nice too. But I'll always favor the RPM's. They were my favorites as well. I'd have kept them longer if I had the HFP suspension.
