So, you are bored with your car and the rest of Texas hates it. Tough situation there
![]() Keep that up and you'll fall into the endless trap that I am in. I buy my wife cars so I can drive them. ("Oh, you like that car? Let's buy it!" Secretly thinking "Yes, now I can drive your car!") Seriously, I drive her EoS R32 more than she does since she has to haul the boys around in her Pilot most of the time. Though, I'll admit, I have not been driving it as much since I got the IS (and my poor jeeps and the F350 are sitting there rusting away in shame)

I actually like her EoS R32 (the Retractable Hard-Top 3.2L EoS) very, very much. Its no power monster, but the 3.2L delivers decent power. It is fun to drive. The RHT is fantastic (in good weather), the panoramic moonroof is great, and you get a coupe in bad weather with none of the visibility issues or leaking problems you get with a soft top. The DSG gearbox is fun to play with (though not the same as a manual by any means), and you can just drop in in 'auto' when you are loafing along.
The only downside I see is its long-term reliability. On the other hand, it will be gone from the garage long before the warranty expires (my wife is looking longingly at the 535i), so it is not really an issue if there is a problem (and we have a corral of other cars to drive if it does end up in the shop). As to my IS: Absolutely love it. Size-wise it is only slightly larger than my Si Coupe (look at the specifications for dimensions, it is a tiny sedan). Power is fantastic, comfort great, great amenities. The only two things I would like to see it have would have been a HDD to pair with the stereo, and a dual-clutch gear box. The auto-manual is a joke. It shifts better and faster than I can in regular auto mode, the paddles are a silly affectation in this car. I smile more getting into my IS350 more than I did when I owned my old G35 coupe (M6SP). I loved that car, but the IS "just does it for me" more for some reason. I am very curious to see what Infiniti comes up with as its "1-series fighter", however. I can't comment on the IS250. You get the looks and amenities of the 350, but the engine is a bit anemic in comparison. You see quite a few 250 owners debating about moving up to a 350, or regretting their 250 purchase over on the two main IS forums. I still think its a 'good car', but for the kind of money, I want the power to go with it.

I test drove an IS250. Loved the look and feel of the car itself, hated the lack of cajones. I wonder how much a lease would be on a 350. I'm thinking lease because I've barely ever made it past 2 years with a car. My del Sol still holds the driveway longevity award for 3 years. But I also had a stable of cars, 1 scooter and a Motorcycle in that time.

Lexus leases on the IS350 are terrible. They never have any promotional pricing, which usually puts them up in the 600+ range. The folks over at clublexus have quite a bit to say on the matter.
Lease-wise, you'd be better off looking at an Infiniti G35 (coupe or sedan) as they do pretty decent promotional leases (under $400), or at BMW where you can get into a 335i for a bit over $500 per month...though you'll have to hunt around to find one that meets the lease criteria, or be expected to pay an additional $10 per $1000 of options).

YW, Dawn.
I have to balance out my evil act, otherwise the purple flaming monkeys of doom with consume me. ______________ Currently, Inifiti has a coporate promo lease on the G35 Journey with Premium package for $349/m, $3,300 down (negotiable in my experience), for 24 months. I like short promo leases myself. On the G35 coupe, they have a corporate promo lease of $399/m, $3,400 down, for 39 months. Not as attractive, but still, not too bad. You may find local dealer incentives to be slightly more attractive lease pricing. For instance, in Vegas the two local Inifinit dealers (both owned by the same group) are offering the G coupe for $369/m for 24 months, and the sedan for $319/m for 24 months. ________________ While the BMW prices are somewhat higher (and meeting the lease 'package' requirements harder to find), keep in mind that all maintenance is pre-paid for 4 years, which would cover the entire period of your lease. That will save quite a bit of money at the 15K and 30K services in particular, if you did a typical 3 year BMW lease.

The new G-sedans are quite a bit better looking than the last gen G-sedans. And the I like the interior quite a bit better as well. I have to say, however, I really dislike that silly chrome 'lip bump' on the trunk though.
Just keep in mind that the lease offer is for a G35 Journey with Premium package. If there is anything else on the car (Nav, etc.), it may not qualify for the promotional pricing and the price may jump substantially. BMW is pretty good (most of the time) about only adding an incremental amount based on the price of the option, but my last experience negotiating an infiniti lease for a friend was interesting with even minor additions invalidating the promotional pricing. Keep all of that in mind and be prepared to walk away (laughing at the salesman as well in my preference) and you'll do fine.

Your definetly the perfect canidate for a lease, but wht kind of mileage do you drive? I would love to lease a car, but I rack up about 30K a year. If you go over the mileage agreement you get screwed royally in fee's. Plus if you mod the car you have to return it to stock when you turn it in.
