What should I get when my EX coupe lease ends?

I have an '06 Civic w/ a Magnaflow Exhaust. (Plan on taking it off before I return it to Honda)

I'm torn between my two options of cars as to what I will get when I hand in my current lease... Either a 2008/2009 SI (Are there any plans for changing the look on the civic within the near years to come?) or a 2008/2009 BMW 135i.

I love my civic... and I would love to have an SI especially with all the aftermarket stuff out now... but the BMW 135i is a beast w/ great luxury...
What do you guys think? BMW 135i with a couple of mods like an exhaust and intake or getting an SI and putting ~8k worth of mods in it? (Would I be able to someway get my EX Magnaflow fitted for the k20?)

If I get the SI I will purchase it so I can mod it as I please.

The 135i I will most likely lease with an option to buy out (if the APR is too high for financing), adding only an intake and exhaust system. (Only about 3-4 hours total to remove if I decide to turn the car in at the end of my lease.)

What can you afford? Thats an almost $20k swing in price ($21k vs. ~$40k)

Money isn't really an issue since I am lucky to have a great job for my age.

Obviously the 135 kills the SI in handling and performance but european cars are alot harder to tune... price really isn't a worry to me, as this purchase will be the car I'm going to hang on to for quite some time.

Just looking for some input... what would you prefer: prestige, performance and luxury or inexpensiveness, performance, and customizability?
