Honda FCX???
Well with gas going up, I am seriously considering trading in the FA5 for the FCX. I am prob just going to grab a track only car (240) and DD the FCX. Does anyone have any further info on them? I read the few posts that we posted when i searched, and it really don't have any real info I need or for sale price. How does it run? Does it use gas? How much is it gonna cost? Is maintenance on it going to be retarded expensive? Is it only for lease? Any info would be very appreciative. I am going to be doing a lot of traveling on highway due to me going to college 300 miles away and I can't be paying atleast 40++ to fill up just get to get there and an additional 40 to get back.

You're getting way ahead of yourself...
The FCX uses a hydrogen fuel cell in place of gasoline. So ask yourself this question, where are you going to fill up? Now if you're still interested, read this Honda FCX Concept -- Inside Line |

Excerpt from HONDA: "A limited number of FCX Clarity vehicles will be available for lease only in the Torrance, Santa Monica and Irvine areas in mid-2008. The lease amount will be around $600 per month for three years and it includes maintenance. As hydrogen-supply infrastructure expands, Honda will make more of these remarkable cars available to the public."

Well it's my understanding that they already have everything worked out for the Phill station, so I don't know why they wouldn't release soon. Also, you have to think about the fact that GM has been working very hard to set up a network of "gas" stations across the country so that they can release their own fleet of water vapor emitting vehicles.
If you're serious about this I would just wait and see what unfolds in the coming months. Maybe you could call Honda of America and GM and see what they have in the works.. |

It does look like a nice car, but it's lease only and $600 a month. That price right there pretty much kills any savings you could get from fueling with hydrogen. Just get an older civic for cheap and sell your FA5 if you want to save money. That way you wil no longer have a loan.
