Most beautiful car out there? Opinions, y'all.

So the GT-R thread got me wondering: what do you think is the most beautiful car in the world? This is open to any car in production in the last 100 years. I would also like to stick with stock cars.

It's a tough call for me, but as much as I love the new LP-560, I'm giving it to the Ferrari 599 GTB. It is the car I would most like to lick.

So, what's your favorite?

The Alfa is very nice, but I absolutely love that Maserati. It's in my top 3.

Whoo, this is a very hard choice. Very. Hmmm....

I'd have to say, for now, it would also be the Alfa Romeo 8C Competitzione for "current".

The only reason I won't give it to the Gran Turismo is that...well...LOOK at the 8C. That and the grille on the front with the concave slots gives it -1.5 points out of 100. And the wheels look too much like the Ford Focus RS/Mazdaspeed 3.

civ, did I make you start this thread?

Firmhonda and I were discussing this very beauty a few nights ago. I'm a Alfa whore.

Surprised no one's said the 300SL Gullwing yet. Classic. I'd do that car, not caring about the saggy door bags.

I would say let's stick with production cars, not race cars.

And yes, Iz, you helped get the ball rolling for this.

There's a lot of love for Alfa here!

Digging into the past, I would pull out:

I think that the 8C Competitzione was seriously designed while a woman was in the throes of passion. Like mad-monkey-feet-over-knee-over-a-railing kind of passion. There's just so much...presence in that...car.

Then again, this came real close too:

And let's not forget the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster....good lord!!!

I wouldn't know what to pick from yesteryear. Too many pretty cars. It's a really hard toss-up between:

Jaguar MkIII
Lamborghini Miura
Mercedes 300SL Gullwing
Jaguar XK120
and the Aston Martin DB4

Man...beautiful.

But remember, this is just about looks. Cost and performance don't matter here.

I saw that Miura picture before you took it down, and I definitely think that it belongs on this page somewhere.

Didn't want to post too many pictures.

But, since there's a lot of image whoring going on, I'll put it back up:
Corvette Stingray (aka The ONLY Corvette I'd drive)

Jaguar Mark III

Jaguar XK120:

Lamborghini Miura:

Mercedes 300SL:

Aston Martin DB4

I'm also a little surprised no one's yet mentioned the Spyker C8:

Yes, I'm aware of the irony of the C8 to the 8C.
