your premium does not get effected from comprehensive claims....however, if yourinsurance doesnt HAVE to pay, dont make them.

Had my Z2 installed at Circuit City with 0 problems, but that might be because I used to work there, and know the manager of the installs department. He does amazing work. I actually go to him for any car related services I need. So I don't really think it's EVERY Circuit City, probably just 80%. Hope everything works out for ya.

WTF?!!!! $12k in damages?!! make them sumbitches pay every damn cent (i'd also look into talking to a lawyer) and ask for a new car. i really doubt the car will ever be the same after they install that shit anyways.

If I could give some advice, you probably don't want to sensationalize the issue, nor should you be making public statements about it IF you are going to pursue legal action. You don't want a countersuit on your hands.

I think he was more referring to contacting the news station than having things posted on here.

Also, it seems as if you haven't talked to an attorney yet.. You really do need to contact one for a claim of this size, especially if you're going to try and get a new car out of it. I know this from experience, I didn't contact an attorney over the issues that I had with a body shop that completely screwed my paint job after an accident that I was in and my paint job is horrible. My 82 has less rock chips/scratches than my 05 and it never got fixed because I never contacted an attorney over it.

Please contact an attorney and completely forget making this as public as possible until you do so. If your lawyer says that it would help your case then feel free, but until then just talk to him and do whatever he says.

Then contact him/her and let them know that you have contacted a news station and ask them if you should go through with it. Also, ask them what you can do to help your case at this point. If you need to call and discuss this with a CC manager and ask specific questions and make specific statements while recording it in the process, then do it.

Pretty much just help the person that's helping you in every way possible, that would be your best bet IMO.

Good stuff. The news contact is a personal friend. She is waiting for me to call and give a green light.

Yep, that's what I would do. If the insurance company totals out your car, it might be a good thing. There's a chance your car will never be electrically the same.

Find a good lawyer and sue CC for the car damage and other damages as well....the court wil most likely make them pay for your lawyer fees as well.

I learned my lessons too...so I started doing my own installations.

i still dont understand how they could possibly do that much damage. im just not seeing it from the 2 pictures you posted. 12k is whole heck of a lot of money. people have less damage when they crash into trees.

also, what is the chain of events here? did they ever finish the install? how did you find the damage?
