Is this okay?

Basically, in Tampa, Florida, I RARELY ever encounter inclines, esp. in parking lots. Well today I parked on a really steep incline, not knowing at first until I got back to my car. AFter I start my car back up, I put it in first gear and am "feathering" the clutch while having the gas pushed in a bit as well. It wasn't the fact that I was rolling back a bit that got me to panic, but how a pedestrian out of NOWHERE walks behind me, and then I pushed the gas even more, while the clutch was pushed in a bit (the rpms got to about 3.5k), but I did not pop the clutch or spin the tires and went about my own way. I was going forward because there was nothing in front of me and decided to go forward rather than back out, but still looked behind me b/c I knew the car would roll back a bit.

I should be fine right?

NOTE: I did NOT hit the pedestrian and yes I turned my head and looked behind me before I began moving.

3.5k = pretty high for feathering clutch = premature wear on clutch.

plus, consider the fact that i hardly ever vtec my Si (ie i prolly drive my si VERY economically).

Unless you are sitting there doing that for a couple hours, you are ok.
