8th Civic vs. 7th Accord?

I currently drive an 02 Accord SE, but now I'm looking to get either an 8th Gen Civic or a 7th Gen (03-07) Accord. I would probably go LX/5spd with either one. Any thoughts on these two if you looked at the Accord before buying your Civic? I see +/- for both cars, but other than flipping a coin I can't decide. My kids are 3 and 6, so the bigger Accord would seem to make more sense, but >90% of the time my car is only used for my solo commute to work. We have a big ol' Sienna to haul the family around. Also, I only average 9K miles/year, so the gas cost difference isn't much.

I've driven my buddy's 04 Accord EX V6, fully loaded, those are nice cars, especially if you have kids, very roomy in the back, and the V6 is pretty fast IMO.

if u can spend some more on gas then accord V6 but id go with civic unless u got kids and need a sedan or little bit room go for accord a blast to drive

Mhmm... perhaps I am wrong but I thought V6 only goes to EX and EX-L models.
