I read a few article and thread about type R coming in 2010. SO IF EVER its going to come out, how much would it be? 30-35k..... if thats going to be the price range of the type R, that is messed up specially to the MUGENSI owners. Some prolly bought their mugen for 35k and if ever true in 2010 type R will be available for 35k as well. that is so screw up. any thought?

not only is the mugen the biggest fan boy joke in the world for the price but the type R would be even more so if it was 40k. lol don't get me wrong at least a type R is more then a n SI with a body kit and rims unlike the mugen but its still a fwd econo box with low power. granted its 220ish more then an si but look what else you can get for 40k now a days..
hell for like 5 grand more you can get a vette ffs. honda would sell them to the cult following BUT although that seems like alot of people on a forum its far less then they would need to be successful. they wont do it. or they wont charge that much. |

The standard Type R costs ~$25k USD in Japan. Shouldn't cost too much more if they offered it here. $27-8k? Why not.
But it will never hit the States. |

Honestly, if Honda did see fit to bring a Type R here in 2010, we know that it would be very expensive. Like 35-40 grand expensive. For that amount of money, buyers should be given the same level of performance commensurate with an Evo X or Sti. There is no way that the current Type R motor will produce that kind of power or performance.
Given American Honda's reticence to produce high horsepower motors, it seems highly unlikely that they would go F/I on the car. With all this talk about carbon dioxide footprints and with the way fuel economy standards and prices are going, I just cannot see Honda doing much beyond what we already have. As much as I would love to see either a Type R or Type RR, I am not very confident we will see their ilk on these shores.
