raced an MB S430

we were going about 40 and messin around with eachother... one thing lead to another and we both floored it up to near 90.... i was surprised because i kept right along side with him... maybe he was not flooring it?... but ahead of us was a red light and stopped cars which lead me to put the brakes to the floor... i stopped with plenty of room but he did not and had to swerve out of his lane into a turning lane (which forced him to turn).... he barely missed the car ahead of him when he swerved.... from this experience the civic is close to as fast, and the brakes are MUCH better.... maybe he should have bought an S55, or an si

LOL Iam sorry my friend your brakes are not better and your car is not faster. But either way I know it feels good to think that way so

Mercedes have very crappy brakes... i drive my aunt's ML320, and whenever you need to stop at a light, it's a white-knuckle experience because you have to pretty much press the pedal 75% or more to get some braking. they really need to re-work their brakes especially because all their cars are so heavy.

Yeah well I wouldnt doubt that, but the ML and the C class is not much of a car. But E or G or S even the CLK's are better. But my fam has owned 5 Mercedes and the crappies was the ML. But it was still fun to drive.

according to MotorTrend "0-60 mph in 7.2 for the S430." Not what i would consider fast.... but yes still faster than the civic.... and according to autos.msn.com "60-0 in an s430 is 131 ft. and 60-0 in a 4 door EX is 139".... i was not completely stating that the civic is faster hands down... i even said i was not sure if he was at WOT or not... but what I was saying is that the brakes are better on a civic.... well maybe not better as i have researched.... but pretty damn close when you look at the numbers... and def. not even CLOSE to a viper....

Well 0-60 you close but you said you went up to 90 and from 50+ is where that V8 loves to be. Plus the breaking numbers the MB is still better but consider this its also stoping 1300+ pounds more then your civic.

its all good, I though I beat a brand new 525 the other day in my LX Sedan. I dont think he was trying though. My girl beats me in the RSX which is kinda of sad =( but I still like my car
