I just know with the 7th Gen Civic, they were ricing out that car so bad. I don't want the new Civic to start as a ric0r trend too, you know?

We're okay for now, _cargirl. It's happening already, but it's really going to slap us in our faces once our 8th gens hit the used car market.

Wanna know whats funny? His i-vtec sticker looks crooked. He did the same thing me and my buddy that works at his family owned tint place. The curve under the car is not straight with the bottom so if you try to line up the sticker with that curve it will be crooked. Get what im saying? We had to peel out first sticker off and redo it.

Im on 7th gen and I d'ont see hate cuz its a Civic bottom line period.
Its the love of their 7th gen that makes them say stuff like that..
In all honesty I love the 8th gen ,7th gen and even the 6th gen.
The 8th gen is refined classy and has a functional kick ass dash :)....

The 8th gen Si makes me get all wet and im a guy lolllllll

I love civics period, its just normal that over years refinement comes in and people might not take to it but one thing for sure, the 8th gen has grown on alot of 7th gen members..

Viper out :)

Last August i was going to purchase a 2005 Civic VP Coupe. My father advised me to wait for the '06 Civic to come out and save up some more money. Once Sept/Oct rolled around i was glad i waited! I ended up purchasing in March of 2006, and it was well worth the wait. The upgraded stereo system and center console alone had me sold, not to mention the much improved design. Looking back, the 7th gen coupe reminded me of a boat!

bottom line we're all honda owners and love the civic period. My first car I had a 6th gen green 4 door, which I dropped 2 inches, added eibach sport, aem cai, and magnaflow exhaust, 17's twin spoke 5's, and sometimes I still think the styling is just so tuner perfect in that gen compared to 8th gen civics. 4 door 8th gens look more sophisticated and make me wanna keep it stock with maybe a rim job, while 6th and 7th make you wanna do it up fierce. Either way all gens rock from late 80's to 06, civics a tuner special and we should all be so lucky that our aftermarket parts are cheaper and more accessible than other compacts. Sometimes I look at my green 99 4 door and think its more attractive than my new si.

OK thats obviously a big lie!

The majority of 7thgens where I live, are driven by folks with AARP cards. It's pretty much 6thgens and a spiraling out of control collection of FG2s.

I dunno where all of you are from, but in Minneapolis, I noticed older Civic's (pre 7th gen) are often driven by ricers or teenagers, but the 7th gens are almost completely driven by older people.

Well I know one thing I like almost every gen Civic out there. Didn't like them all at first but they grew on me. Maybe they just need time. I still like the 7th gen.

Everytime that I see a 7th gen. Si, I don't know whether to laugh, gloat or feel guilty...

A good mix of all of them is usually the equation I use.

Having owned a 7thgen (and been a longtime 7thgencivic.com forumgoer) and now owning a Civic Si, I still have fond memories of my old car. My Si is so different, can't even compare em. That said, I love my Si 10x more =)

i had civic's from 90, 94, 00, 04, and 06.

every gen is a major step up from previous. 06 has been thus far the best.
7th's suspension were too short stroked and bouncy imho.

without reading anything but the title of this thread, i'm already laughing. The 7th gen civic was the worst generation of civic, end of discussion. The si was a minivan and the coupes/sedans had about as much character as a rock. Have fun hating and maybe ill see you in my rearview if your even that close.

as for civic generations.....here's my take.

#1 - 8th gen
a very close #2 - 88-91 CRX Si / Civic Si
#3- 1996-2000
#4- 1992-95
#5- 1983-87 (CRX included)

leave the 01-05 civics to battle the 70's and early 80's civics......
