Finally figured out what custom license plate to get!

After many sleepless nights, I've finally decided on how my Ohio custom license plate will read. My wife is from Puerto Rico and I'm actively learning Spanish. That will go along well with my native German and some Italian. The Italian for whenever I'd be able to afford my Ferrari and therefore need to read the owner's manual. Anyway, here's the plate I'll be ordering when my GG Si arrives in a few weeks:

If I ever got a custom plate, it'd be 'RENOB'

That's classic!! Actually considered a 06 WRX STI but the price was a bit much. Si is more in line with my budget.

FigiSi06: My last fun car was '00 MX5. It was fun while it lasted. Not practical and I'm not a top down kind of person really. My plate on that car was GR8 ZOOM. I thought it orginal and my daughter thought it should go on my new Si. Wonder what ZOOM is in Spanish?

Amending my upcoming speciality plate........

Decided on something even cooler. Will be using VELOZ. Spanish for quick. How appropriate. Wife thought I should use BELLACO. Spanish for horny. I didn't think that would be appropriate. True perhaps, but not appropriate.

That's interesting. A Veloz package. Never would have guessed that. Nice car BTW. Our specialty plates aren't that expensive otherwise I wouldn't mess with it either. Personalizes the car just a wee bit of course. Some are fun to try to figure out. Amazing how many plates in Ohio have Spanish words on them already. Ohio does not have a large Hispanic population per say. VELOZ it is.........

Was this in Mexico? I never saw any Veloz Civics in California. We had VP HX DX LX EX Si. Was it a dealership type thing or was it offered by Honda?

im pretty sure that they were offered in canada. this was during the last generation of civics though. I believe it was simply an appearance package but ill do some research through this boring class im in and ill try to find out.

edit, Found it-------

Feb 13, 2002
TORONTO (February 13, 2002) – In recognition of the one millionth sale of the popular Honda Civic in Canada, Honda Canada Inc. will release an exclusive, limited edition version of the Civic, the Civic Coupe Si Veloz.

The word 'Veloz' is Spanish for 'swift' and the Civic Veloz reflects this theme in its stylish features.

Using the current Civic Coupe Si with Group Option Package as a platform, the Veloz edition adds the following Genuine Honda Accessories: a front skirt, side skirts, rear skirt, rear spoiler, carbon fibre audio panel, chrome exhaust finisher, custom Veloz floor mats and Veloz badging. Based on the suggested retail price of Honda Genuine Accessories, the Veloz accessory package would cost approximately $2800. However, only an additional $1100 will be added to the regular Si Coupe price. This represents a value of $1700.

The Honda Civic Si Veloz is powered by a 1.7-litre, four-cylinder engine featuring Honda's patented and race-bred Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC). The aluminum alloy engine delivers 127 horsepower and 114 lb.-ft. of torque. Standard features include 15" aluminum alloy wheels, air conditioning, power moonroof, AM/FM CD player, cruise control, keyless remote entry, power windows and door locks. Safety features include four-wheel ABS, three-point seatbelts in all seating positions, ECU immobilizer system, LATCH child safety seat anchors, driver's and front passenger's dual stage airbags (SRS).

The manufacturer's suggested retail price will be $22,500* with a 5-speed manual transmission (or $23,500* with a 4-speed automatic transmission). The Civic Coupe Si Veloz will be available only in Nighthawk Black Pearl or Satin Silver Metallic exterior colours and will go on sale in mid-March.

Honda Canada entered the Canadian automobile market in 1973 with a single offering – the Honda Civic. Now, after 29 years and 1 million units sold, the Civic has been the best-selling passenger car in Canada for the past four years.

Good find shawn-o! Some interesting history. I find it funny how some car manfucturers come up with car names or package titles. Like the Hyundai (s) Tiburon. Tiburon is Spanish for shark. Just seems odd on a Korean car. I actually prefer numbers to names usually. 911, C6, M5. The Civic needs to be repackaged with a number too perhaps. But not just FG2. Something with flair. S1000?

Definately not FG2, some redneck in a truck will think it says FAG2 then he might cornhole you in a truck stop. Not pretty.
I think its illegal to put the word zoom on a honda. Here were my choices.
LOVN 8K
MMM VTCH
REVN 8K

I just ordered mine:
SIYAL8R
SC SI
and
VTECFUN
are my top 3 choices. I really only want SIYAL8R though. If I get stuck with SC SI i'll consider it destiny and buy a supercharger right way, haha.
