Quick Warranty-type question

Well i went to the stealership to ask about a rear cargo net and they quoted me $130.00 and claimed that I needed to have them install it too or-else my warranty will be void.

Now really, his only response was that because there was apparenly drilling involved.

What i want to know is: Is it possible for the dealership to void my warranty over the installation of an OEM cargo net, purchased from hondapartsdeals.com?

There's no way they could void your warranty over that in my opinion, but that is only my opinion I will warn you. :)

They were probably referring to the warranty on the cargo net. They can't give you a warranty on the cargo net if they're not the ones installing it.

It's BS if they void your vehicle warranty.

Run, do not walk, away from that dealer and find one that is reputable. There is no way in hell your vehicle warranty can be voided by installing the net (well, barring the use of a plasma cutter and the jaws of life as installation tools).

But the cargo net online. What is it? About 30-40 bucks? (Still a rip off but better than the stealership)

If it rips, so what. You can buy another one and still beat the dealership's price. Now thats warranty.

i ended up doing 2 things. i got a small rubbermaid box and put velcro on the bottom. i toss all my cleaning chem's in the box and it sticks in my trunk w/o rolling around.

also bought this holder thing that goes right against the back of the rear seat in the trunk. holds towels, chamois's and such.

woo old thread.
