I had my front windshield replaced after a rock hit it. The guy that installed it left some nasty scuffs and a 2 divots in the dash. The company that did the work is sending someone to repair the divots, my question is how will a "build-up" repair look AND should I just request a new dash? The windshield installer bent the windshield trim, pressed the hood down about 1/4" on the driver side and scratched up the trim around the wiper arms.
Very displeased, I wish the insurance companies would do a pre- and post- inspection and let me do it myself. It might help these high insurance prices lower a couple of dollars per month if consumers were able to do simple repairs themselves. Any advise would be helpful. |

I am getting an estimate with the dealer today, I will ask them if it will effect any warranties if "the windshield company" (am I allowed to say their name?) has a shop that does it. I want my dealer to do it and when the dealer faxes the estimate I am going to call and get serious about the issue. I didn't think when a chunk is missing from the dash that it would look okay after a build up. |

That's crap; they should be help responsible for any damage incurred on your car.
