i wouldn't grab an RSX S because there so much rsx s owners here in oahu, hawaii and all of them have the same SET UP...but civic...civic still the shiiit..haha no doubt!!!the only reason why rsx s is expensive because ACURA is more luxurious than HONDA..like TOYOTA AND LEXUS...only the name makes a difference.. rsx might have the luxury name but 06 civic's have the looks.. my cousin have an rsx and i not too happy about the interior..

I honestly think that both cars are worth it in their own vary way. Both are sexy. I wouldn't mind having both the Si and the TypeS in NBP parked in my two car garage.

RSX is built off the old civic chassis, and they're both hondas, no reason to get jealous one way or another. They're different cars for differen't people, and I wouldn't mind having both. But personally, I had the choice between getting a base rsx and base civic and i think base civic is the better value :)

Personally, I find the RSX-S a very attractive car; far more attractive than the current Si (even though I own the Si).
However, the price markup, and lack of available options the Type S lacks means the Si was far more worth it. I like the guage setup in the Civic Si more, but I like the heater controls, and seats in the RSX-S more. But I do think the Si is the better buy.

I dunno if it was just that, to be honest. It makes sense, but think of it this way.
There are people who have massive brand loyalty. My friend's grandfather refused to buy any brand of car besides Pontiac. He wouldn't buy Chevy, he wouldn't buy Ford, Oldsmobile, anything. He's driving a 2006 Pontiac Torrent right now. He liked the outside of the Equinox more, but even though they're the same car, he refused to buy a Chevy, no matter how much I told him he should just get the car he liked more. Turns out he liked the interior of the Pontiac more, but still likes the Equinox body more. What my point is, is that I'm SURE there is a crowd of people who won't buy anything but Acura or other luxery brands. I'm sure the thought of a person looking for a sporty coupe, who comes frmo a family of money, or has money, may look at a Honda and go "Ew, a Civic? Absolutely not." I won't lie, I was that way for awhile because of the negative connotation Civic has among domestic buyers (which I was for a long time). Brands sell, and while I don't doubt that was Acura's reason for pulling the RSX, maybe there was something else?

Acura vs. Honda
I like Acura and I like RSX but I don't prefere any RSX over the Si just because RSX is getting kind of old for me. The car of my dreams is an '06 Acura TL (stick) or at least TSX - stick (in Europe sold just as the Honda Accord). I love those cars but for now I'm happy with my 2006 Honda Civic Sedan LX with manual tranny.
