was just looking at tge spec sheet...cant belive this was never brought up..

TRANSMISSION GEAR RATIOS:
Manual / DSG
1: 3.36 / 3.46
2: 2.09 / 2.15
3: 1.47 / 1.46
4: 1.10 / 1.08
5: 1.11 / 1.09
6: 0.93 / 0.92
R: 3.99 / 3.99
Final Gear Ratio (Gears 1-4)
3.94 / 4.06
Final Gear Ratio (Gears 5 & 6)
3.09 / 3.14

what in the world, its like they wanted the dsg to have an advantage over manual

exactly. theyve given it more agressive gearing. not much, but enough to make it a few ticks faster to 60. now everyone goes gaga about how good DSG is when its really the gearig doing it.

Ha. another funny thing i found on their website. when you add the lip kit to the GTi the specs on the side changes and the Cd goes UP!.
