2008 fiji? blue accord coupe PICS

Well I saw one at the dealership today. I was driving home from work, then I saw it parked outside so I had to stop by and look at it. Camera phone pics now:

That's my SI in back of it. It looks like the exact same color, but I think they called it something else blue pearl, not fiji. This one's a 4 cyl auto, 190 hp. I'm sure I can smoke it with my SI. Sorry I didn't take a pic of the sticker, and the interior shots are crappy.

First impressions...the front has a very sudden and steep drop off, as you can see in the first pic. And because the car itself is pretty big too, it reminded me of a domestic ride, like a charger or something. That's a -1. The trunk lid looks really bare. -0.5. The interior is pretty dull. I like my SI interior more, looks-wise. Projectors, but not HIDS -1. Maybe it's an option? Other than that, it's pretty sexy. I'm sure the 6speed will be even sexier, with nicer wheels. the HFP kit and some HFP suspension if it exists would make it sexier too. For a sports coupe, i'll take my SI over the accord. But for a luxury-sports coupe, it's quite nice. I just prefer the more bare-bones performance of an SI over the leather and chrome trim and other luxury stuff that accords have.

I think i'll look at it again next week if it's still in the lot, maybe take more pics and really explore it some more.

i saw the accord today in person (just killing time at the dealer).

the car looks entirely better than pictures, that is for sure. the wheels
i could care-less about. they look dated and pretty ugly imho.

I actually thought the roofline shape was sexy until I saw it first hand. Maybe I need to see more, but the sedans look pretty spiffy.

I actually like the minimalistic rear end.

I really like the coupe. Headlight design is much better than the lumpy bumpy Camry types on the Accord Sedan.

I agree it looks much better in person than in pics.

I'm sorry but I think that's just awesome. It really does look kind of minimal without the hfp kit, but check this out: (hope you don't mind)

That was the spyshot with the hfp kit.

Here's a thread with the hfp rims.
2008 Accord HFP 18's and 19's
I think if you combined the blue accord coupe with the hfp rims and a drop you'd have a seriously sexy machine.

that car is disgusting ..

and whats with honda taking steps BACK in technology ... what happened to the LED tails that came on both the coupe and sedan .. back to conventional tails now ? LAME

they took a perfect set of cars (coupe and sedan) and ruined it

the sedan looks like a hyundai and the coupe is just plain awful .. with and without the hfp kit

also - whats with the TRUCK wheels now ? those wheels look like they belong on a honda pilot .. not an accord

07 Accord coupe with HFP > that on so many levels

I drove one of these the other day at work. I'm still unsure about it.

Both the Coupe and Sedan are growing on me. At first, I didn't like either one. Now I think the Coupe is really hot and the Sedan looks good too. I think with the right color, a body kit and wheels, the car would be pretty hot looking.

The side of the coupe, with the HFP kit, looks like it's gotten into a blender. Too much goin on.

The car might look great from the outside, but what about the inside. One of the main reason i bought the my 07 Civic instead of the Accord was b/c the 07 Accord looked like it was designed in 2003 which it was If I am buying a something new it better look like better than the old.

PS: Love the look of the car from the outside, not sure about the grill. To me it looks like something dodge would come up with. Something curved might have been sexier.

I think the rims and the chrome trim kill the car. The HFP kit adds a lot, and when I saw the HF-S with the body colored trim/grille/door handles, it looks wooorlds better. I would definitely rock a V6 navi if those issues were taken care of.

The new Accord has too much going on with it exterior stying wise... and there is something about that shape that just detracts from the over all appearance. Not sure what, though it has something to do with the belt line that runs along the upper part of the fenders and doors . I am not usually the one who likes to say "this car looks like the bastard child of this car + this car + this car", but the new Accord looks like a older Tiburon. Not cool.
