Post The reason I hate American Muscle

Normally I wouldn't comment on other people I encounter on the road just because its expected that your gonna run into a few a**h**** on the road every now and then (seems to be more of them in south Florida).

Anyways, I'm on my way to work this morning just crusin along when a 94-95 gt mustang pulls next to me and revs his engine indicating one of two things: a) he wants to race me in bumper to bumper traffic or b) he wanted me to look over at him and hope I would admire his busted ass car with the paint peeling, a patch of grey color the size of a beach ball and riced out head & tail lights. In any case I take a look and then continue on my way as the light turns green. I start driving, just minding my own business when this guy flys up behind me tryin to tale gate me, he cuts a guy off in the right hand lane and comes up on the side of me again. I look over at him and I see him screaming things at me, and then he revs his engine and attempts to take off all of about the 25 ft of room he has in front of him before he has to slow down because theres a car there. Being the curious kind of person I am, I roll down my window so that the next time he passes by me I can hear what he's sayin.

He pulls next to again about 1 mile down the road and starts yelling about how my car is a piece of s*** honda, and how I'm a f**in idiot for drivin one and how american cars are the best blah blah blah. I start laughing ALOT, well that just pisses him off and he attempts to speed up and cut me off, but his efforts are thwarted by me speeding up and blocking him in behind a slow car. This continues for another few miles until I make my turn to pull into work. The funny thing is is that even when I move all the way in to the left lane he moves over with me and continues to scream in my direction.

I hate morons like this and it seems to be that the more muscle a car is the bigger the A**Hole driving it is. I'm not sayin that I don't run into people who drive riced out honda's who are like that, it just seems to be more with peple with american cars. maybe they are trying to compensate for something? This guy had to of been around 25-30. Do people ever grow up?

A couple days ago I drove by an evo and saw him looking at my car. We both pulled up to a red light, rolled down our windows and expressed we liked each others car (a touching moment). Every mustang or camaro that has ever been next to me at a light always give me or my car a dirty look and continues act of being a dipshit by launching his car and squealing his tires as the light turns green.

I had an issue with my rental Accord minutes before I turned it back in, as I was filling up gas. When I was done, I couldn't get the car to start. The ignition was locked, the steering wheel was locked, as was the brake.

An older gentlemen was in a Chevy Blazer next to me, and I asked him if he knew what was wrong. He moved the steering wheel a bit and then the car started. His comment "Oh...a riceburner eh?"

I just snickered, but I hate that mentality. I love both American cars and Japanese cars...

haha man that sucks. Yeah as a Honda driver I always get rev'd at by Mustangs and Camaro's. I never race them because its not at the track.

I have never ever been rev'd at by a Corvette driver. Those guys always drive really slow I noticed....I guess they have nothing to prove?

BTW I love the C6 vette....its so tiny...like a civic with a v8 almost with 400hp. lol!!

Whip his ass. Or maybe that's just me. Most muscle car drivers around here dont really drive fast. Its the little ricers that wanna race.

Uhh yeah i come across Civic owners everyday who want to take me and rev all high and what not. So you base the actions of one guy with American muscle to have the same mentality as every driver of an American muscle car. There is always going to be idiotic drivers no matter what car they drive, applying one person's actions to every person who drives a similar car is just as ignorant as the driver you came across.

It wasn't just one driver as I said it happens with almost EVERY muscle car I drive by on daily basis. Your comment is just as ignorant as well...learn to read the entire post.

It's the guy, not the car. Doesn't matter what type it is, the higher RPM reached in the rev, the shorter the genetalia.

I'm sure there's a formula for that somewhere
