Not surprising they're all imports, isn't CR biased against American cars anyways?

They're biased against poorly made cars. Cant go wrong with non profit ratings.

In their magazines they mention that the reliability of American cars are going up, and sometimes surpass european cars. Japanese still at the top in terms of reliability though.

Wow, the Civic is listed. From all the whining on this site, you wouldn't expect it to make the list....

There is an incredible ammount of bitching though. Lots of people put Honda up on a pedestal and expect the cars to be absolutely flawless throughout it's life, and when they learn they still have problems like every other car does get all pissy about it.

My car is a machine, it's going to break, scratch, wear out, get maked up, and rattle, it happens to everything.

just drive a cobalt and you'll know wat a true pos is.

that's wat Honda did to me when i was getting my motor mount replaced
on my 06 EX sedan. they gave me a pos loaner cobalt. it basically told
me how bad a car can be even if my car had to make a warranty stop
within a year of ownership. lol

not suprised, i've seen other top 10 rating best cars like on msn, forbes, etc. Civic or a honda is always in there. Don't forget civic was motortrend car of the year in 2006

I have that issue of CR. It's pretty good. I LOL'ed at the Lotus Elise's negatives. "Handling the same as a Miata or xxx car, but the ride breaks your back".

...Yeah, right. I agree on the harsh ride, but handling?

Makes me feel good. I have an '07 FA5 and a G35. Both were in the top 10 list.

Heh, same.

However, I was the 'victim' of the dreaded 'oil consumption' issue on my G35 coupe. Still loved it and may be going back to a G, the new Sedan, however.
