Post Immobilizer Light?

I noticed in my Civic, unlike my parents Accord and CR-V, that when i take the key out of the ignition, the immobilizer light does not blink, or even appear. Is this normal? Thanks.

Hmm. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure when I take the key out of the ignition, the light on my navi starts to blink. When I actually lock the doors, the immobilizer light near the speedo begins to flash. I have two lights. One bigger brighter one at the speedo and a smaller one on the Navi. Both are red.

I have the EX sedan and just like 'CameronJr9' indicated, I also have the imobilizer light (flashing red LED) in where the speedometer display is. Also there is another 'anti theft' flashing red light on the dash where the radio is. Both are active once I lock up the vehicle.

According to Honda, the Immobilizer function is standard equipment on all trim levels (coupe & sedan). Additionally, Anti-theft security system is standard on trim level 'LX' and above. So you guys should have both of the aforementioned flashing LED's.

first off the red led is the factory alarm on the dash and the red led on the radio is the radio alarm the Immobilizer light is the green led on the dash looks like a key if you turn the key on it will stay on for like 2 seconds and go off. When you take the key out the light will flash a few times .

The Red light that flashes near the speedo is the alarm-set confirmation light, i was referring to the green light with the symbol of a key.

Much affirm on that!

You're right; I mistakenly called the flashing red LED in the speedometer display area the 'immobilizer' indicator. It is, in fact, actually the vehicle security system indicator. The immobilizer system indicator is, as you said, the green (or creen if you like...j/k) indicator that comes on briefly (located directly left of the RPM gauge) when you turn the key 'ON'.
The 'anti-theft' light on the radio I assume is just to let would-be thievers know the radio requires a code after disconnect.

I noticed in a friends EX today that his imobilizer icon flashes a few times when the car is turned on. In my Si, it flashes on once, for about a half second, then goes dark. If you are not looking for it, you can miss it entirely.

I finally saw mine. after some reading it looks like the less it flashes the easier time the car had in reading the imobilizer chip in the key.
