Just saw a new M3 on my way to work

Messed up part is that I wasn't driving my usual car, so the camera that resides in my armrest/cargo area wasn't handy

This thing does look pretty mean, though. Not as mean as the last gen in my opinion, but still mean. It just doesn't look as... beefy, I guess. Not as muscular. It looks more like a knife, less like a hammer.

I didn't realize what I was looking at at first; it had no markings, not even the BMW logos. But I knew the shape was basically a 3 series and then noticed the front fender cooling ducts and the large bulge in the hood. It also had the four pipes out the back. I would have liked to spend more time staring at it, but I was at my exit (I very strongly considered sticking with it longer and just backtracking to work). It was black and had distributor plates on it. I'm not sure where it was headed, but this was the 210 eastbound in southern california, so maybe the desert.

I can't believe I didn't have my camera...

I totally agree, the last gen m3 was way meaner lookin than the new one. The new one looks sleek and still definatly a great looking car, but if I were to go grab an M3, I'd def grab the last gen. It looks so muscular, and it's honestly one of my favorite lookin cars of all time!!

Are there any concrete specs out on the new one? I'm curious what it would take to get a last gen M3 to match the newest one.
