07 Mustang GT vs 07 350Z base

Where do I begin... Well before you come in here and flame by saying that this comparison isn't in the same league you are wrong. The price tags are similar, RWD, 300hp +250tq, both stylish.

+ The Mustang GT had a grunt that sounded like absolute sex while idling and it only got better when you hit the gas.
+ Engine bay had PLENTY of room to maneuver through for tune ups and repairs(I guess that's only important to me...)
+ It was cheaper, by about 2 grand
+ The shifter was nice and smooth however it's only 5 gears
+ Clutch was extremely comfortable and easy to get used too.
+ Much safer than the 350z.

- The interior looked like it was made out of cheap CHEAP material
- Handling was probably one of the worst i'd ever driven in a test drive if not the worst
- No Hids.
- Sound system was horrible
- Visible cockpit, all you can see is the hood and scoop
- Non-working hood scoop

It grunted and it went fast in a straight line but that's about all it was good for.

+ The 350Z sounded good at idle and WOT but nothing is like the grunt of an American muscle.
+ Clutch, short, nice, crisp
+ Shifter was a lot smoother and shorter than the GT
+ Better sound system
+ Better interior x1000 in materials and styles
+ Much MUCH better handling and braking
+ More gadgets
+ Better resale
+++++ 7,500 redline!
+ More aftermarket support
+ More reliable!
+ Better gas mileage

- Didn't seem as fast in a straight line but seeing timeslips of 13.4 stock 1/4 mile definitely don't agree with that
---- 2 airbags stock, and you have to pay for more? Got safety? No!
- Overall look isn't all that impressing

Handling, braking and daily driving is what this puppy is good for.

That's an overall review I paid close attention to other things that I didn't bother typing for the soul purpose that I am filling out an App for BMW and other busy work with constructing my life. However if you have specific questions ask them here if you would like me to test drive a certain vehicle PM and I will do it A.S.A.P.

The Mustang GT drive was for MBK so here you go bud.
(The Z4, 335i, m6,m5, Cayman S are all sexy cars and I road in the S today)
Also the NISMO 350Z is pure sex and is definately worth the 38k price tag

not a bad review but did you test a car with the shaker system or just the stock single disc CD? as for better aftermarket, that's debatable because mustang has a pretty big aftermarket, and interior although it might not please you aesthetically holds up fairly well. mustangs are fairly reliable to boot. as for the gas mileage, yes, the Z get better mileage.

It was the shaker but I was still not impressed.

i'm going to have to disagree with you on the shaker comment; its fairly impressive as a stock MP3 changer. 500w. i'm also going to have to disagree with you on the interior... i think the interior will hold up the same as the Z. the leather is also a hot option in the GT... looks very cool. as you said the engine sound and power along with the trans are impressive... i think it would be hard not to like those!

plus did you guys know you can get a warrantied blower from ford that gives the GT 400 or 500 HP depending on which kit you chose? you get a 3/36 if you have it installed at initial purchase and a 1/12 if you get it installed afterwards (in addition to the stock warranty)

BTW mustangs dont come with hood scoops

shifter mustang shift blows.. long as a truck the throws. I driven both dont think you have..
its also notchy as hell
two things here. mustangs come with nonfunctional hood scoops under the GT apperance package ($250). it includes an engine cover, rolled alluminum exhaust tips and the hood scoop.

as to your second comment... it sounds as if you have not driven the new stang with the Tremec TR3650 manual transmission. the tranny is great... as a valet i've had the opportunity to test many manual transmissions and this is one that stands out as being comparitively good.

he said nothing of the sort; he praised the sound of american muscle, quite the opposite.
