New car for my father...

Anyways...
My dad's beloved ford windstar which he never wanted to let go of finally took a poop. Every single one of us learned how to drive in that car (my sister, 2 of my cousins, my mom and I)
We've had this car for about 5 yrs already and was always giving us problems. However, my dad would want to fix it since we had so many memories with that car. So, when he called me and told me he was stranded in the Grand Central parkway (engine took a poop), i got up, went to pick him up and he was feeling sad. He wanted to fix it but hell no! the engine has been replaced 3 times already and this one didn't disappoint to fail once again. He called the salvation ARMY and is donating the car to them. So, i went to millenium honda and picked him up a small '99 CR-V. 1 owner non-smoker, 56K miles, excellent condition inside and out, 4x4 with sunroof (no leather though), 2yr free warranty from the dealership and it came out to about 9K after tax

All it needs is a retrofit, some rims and a better sound system.
So, now I'm out 9K lol

thanks and a 2yr warranty lol
He'll have it for a few years until he can buy himself a new car. He doesn't trust new cars besides my mom has the new civic to go to work. I didn't want him to get up in the morning and take the bus to go to work when there will be a storm tomorrow morning.

+1 for buying your dad a car man. at 22 thats huge. i'm 20 and i hope to be able to buy my parents a new ride by 22. maybe that'll be considered payin them back for all that they've done for me (i.e. my dad paid for my coupe cash, and i financed it through him, so i dont have to pay intrest).
