2007 BMW 335i vs 2008 Mercedes-Benz C350 Sport

Ok, so we know from my last thread titled "2007 BMW 335i vs 2008 Infiniti G37" that the BMW wins. The BMW was judged less ugly than the Infiniti by most 8thcivicers. In addition, it was discovered you could pick up more chicks in the 335i.

So now there is a new competitor to the 335i. It is the 2008 Benz.

If someone was to give one of these to you as a gift, which would you take and why? discuss.

this ones easy. the 335i. but its only because Mercs sports cars arent my style. i like the driver involvement and handling performance. Edmunds actually said it pretty well

But it boils down to this: The 2007 BMW 335i provides an unrivaled driving experience. Its defining feature is its twin-turbo inline-6, an engine that rewards the horsepower fiend in all of us. In addition, the 335i carves up the road with a chassis that always assures you that there's plenty of car under you no matter how fast you drive.

In contrast, the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C350 Sport rewards a driver who is less interested in absolute performance than a simple degree of driving exhilaration, and who enjoys style and infotainment technology usually reserved for more expensive models in the Mercedes portfolio.

Even as these cars have grown closer in size and performance, they still go about their business in ways that are as different as Coke and Pepsi, Munich and Stuttgart.

if it were full size luxury cars such as an Auto 535i vs. an E350, i think id have to go Merc. the only thing that may may swing me to BMW then is the manual option.

my buddy wants to buy a c32 amg... he should wait for the amg model of this car...
I'm not a fan of the 335i because its a poor mans M3 and thats a fact.. Id shove out the loan to get an M3 for that simple fact.

eh he'll probably be forced to buy a slushbox, cost M5 money, and probably still go around a track slower than a 335i.

I'm not a fan of the 335i because its a poor mans M3 and thats a fact.. Id shove out the loan to get an M3 for that simple fact.

except the M3 doesnt exist. also the M3 probably wont be coming in 4 door.

also the C class is a poor mans E class. it doesnt do anything different, just cheaper. the 3 series is a different type of car than a 5 series.

I dont like the C class my friend does. Also the new M3 will be coming in a four door been announced and will be out next year.
M3 = sex on wheels

AMGS are all autos...they arent bad I just dont feel any passion with them

i like the new c. the 335 sedan looks a bit dated now.

4 door option? the new M3 is looking more and more like E39 M5 2.0...i like the M5 and all, but thats not what an M3 is supposed to be.
