Round 2 Anyone? We have to be civil!

Lets get this party started. We have to be decent towards each other but i want to hear some facts about an SI. Convince me that i should have one over my Roush.

How about we not turn this into an argument. Do you have any pictures of your car? What are the specs? What have you done to it?

The Civic Si is a great car, but it can only compete with cars in its class. We've discussed those before. A search will tell you that we've repeatedly compared the Civic to the Mazda3, the Mini, and the GTI. I don't think most people would compare a FF Civic with a modified FR Mustang.

AJP is the name of a company that creates a turbo kit for the Si

btw, on what levels do you want us to compare the cars, drivability, acceleration, handling, milage, reliability, etc.

5-6psi gives something like 330whp and 220tq... we get our torque later when vtec engages and it pretty much increases to redline... someone correct me here... if you are able to shift at max vtec you will land the next gear in vtec again get peak torque

In a way I kind of like this guy. He's like giving us a test about the SI. Be persuasive guys. Don't be bias people.

that AJP 11.9 is crappy it should be 11.6 or better and that's about 29K total spent including the Si (just AJP kit + ECU + catback) not including labor but the roush 3 is also w/o labor

honda06si, chilllllll.

iownallhondas, look, as far as power out of the box goes, there's not contest between our car and yours. We know this. I don't think you need to say "have one over my Roush." You all ready have one, it's paid for and it's nice. So that's that. What you should be saying is, " teach me about your Si so that I can consider one as my daily driver."

Lets face it, if your fun car has ridiculous power then get a fun daily driver. I already told you I considered a Mustang GT and a GTO. I'm still trying to get my hands on a GTO. I'd keep my SI though. For a naturally aspirated 4 banger it's great. Yes, I've modded the hell out of it and I'm not done. It will get boosted but if I got my hands on an LS2, I'd supercharge the hell out of that and then you and I would meet up on a track.

no the difference is how well built is your car.
How well engineered is your car, engine, transmission, etc...
a mustang gt can be modded and be a 10 sec car...
a civic with a k20 swap all N/A can go 12.0 on a 1/4 of a mile...
Power to weight ratio plays a role too...
Why do you think hatches with swapped engines all N/A pushing 200whp can run low 12's...

In terms of sport coupes, you might POSSIBLY be able to compare a Civic Si with a Mustang V6. They're in the same price class. They've been compared by various car magazines in the past.

But a Roush Mustang and a Civic Si are two different beasts.
