DBW the same in EX and SI?

I am considering an SI but drove the EX since that's what they had on the lot. Aside from the obvious differences are things like the DBW the same in both cars? The salesman said there are differences between them. The EX was very nice to drive btw, smooth clutch easy to drive smoothly. Loved it! Just driving the EX was enough for me to go with the SI.

(now if I can get a good deal on my 05 Legacy GT to trade in)

other than the si having a different engine. powertrain wise, it is identical for all civics from dx to ex.

I noticed a slight difference, but I think it's only due to wanting to rev the crap outta the Si. lol. The car's are very smooth and fairly linear, but the rev hanging can be a bit annoying when you're driving like ya stole it. It's more pronounced and obvious in the Si than in the non-Si models, again because sometimes you really just want to "play" with the car, but I have to say, I haven't test driven more fun under the $20.5-$23.5K mark (brand new models, not used). Other than that, they're all the same across the board. :)

The Si also has a unique 6 speed manual transmission. The manual in the DX/LX/EX is 5 speed and obviously doesn't have the same gearing. Also, don't forget LSD but I'm not sure if that's considered part of the drive train.

I drove the Si yesterday and did notice a difference between the throttle lag in the EX and Si. It didn't feel like the Ex did it at all, shifts dropped the revs immediately while the SI would hang there for a bit. Not a big deal at all, but I would think when upshifting quickly you can't do a rev-match (letting the revs fall for the next gear in this case) so it would pull the revs down a bit, hard to shift smoothly. The clutch is so good in the car and the engine so smooth that it's not a big deal. Maybe Honda can adjust it a bit for next year.
