Touchup Paint

With less than 500 miles on my car I got my first paint chip yesterday! Driving on the highway and someone changed lanes in front of me and hit a pebble up and it hit the car. I knew it would leave a mark and found it on the driver side fender.
Everyone is like "it is just a chip" but I just got it a week ago Wednesday and I wanted to keep it perfect for as long as I possible can, which turned out to be 6 days.

Any advice on touchup paints? Like what kind to get and how to apply it. I found a website that offers touchup paint and then a clear coat you apply after the paint.

hmmm... I never heard of a touch up paint kit such like that. uhh... but I feel yah on this one. I was bathing her today and I noticed that there are two pin-sized chips on the front fender. I was freaking mortified... Tried to wax over it, and it didn't work. Maybe if I try to polish it, it might...

Go to the dealer and buy a bottle of touchup paint. prolly have to order it. I think mine was just under $10.

Then check this forum or do a search online for touching up paint chips.

I don't know if it's a chip or not. All I just know is that it was like a pair of needles flying through the air and hitting the car. You can barely notice it. But since I'm the owner... I can tell and sense everything on the car.

And besides... That mofo salesman of mine will probably say, "I told you to get the paint protection plan!"... And I don't want to hear none of that bull.

You guys make me laugh. Shit man, I have had my car for two months and I have multiple rock chips on the bumper, hood, and its now finding its way onto the windshield. I work in the California Sierra Foothills, so the commute every day is killing my paint. I bought a front end bra from the dealer, but the rocks just seem to land farther up on the car. Starting tonight when I go to work, I'm gonna take surface roads and see if that reduces the problem.

If I had two or three chips, I would be happy as hell. Additionally, the paint on Hondas seems to chip easily--Brian

^ Seriously. If you breathe too hard near the car, the paint seems to just flake off. I've got my second paint chip just today. The first was on the back, and it looks terrible, the second is on the passenger side fender corner that is touching the windshield and the top of the hood. I've also noticed two or three bubbles in the paint.

I say get the two step paints. The touch up bottles suck ass. The paint color is slightly off, because it's a mixture of clear coat with the color you have, and the finish looks dull, and unbalanced. Don't get me wrong, for ten bucks, it does the job, but I'd say go the extra mile and get the clearcoat and the base coat at least. There was a site on another touch up paint thread, I'll try to find the link for you.

EDIT: Found the link: http://www.paintscratch.com/ I'm going to buy a couple supplies from them when I work up the cash for it.

I think I'm going to paint my car a different color. Championshiop White I'm thinking. Besides, the paintjob from Honda sucks. Though I have no drips or bubbles in the paint. What sucks was when I went to go pick up the car, I noticed a few scratches here and there from the dealership. I got my car with 19 miles on it. Is that right or what?

Sorry, I'm off topic, but still. Help me?

Just go to the parts dept. at your local dealer, ask for the touch-up paint in the color you need, and when you buy it ask the person behind the counter the proper way to apply it. They will be glad to help you, and they should have the color you need in stock.

Its nearly impossible to avoid chips, here in Colorado its unnavoidable especially with the stupid sand trucks, tossing up rocks and debris.
