Service Contracts
Does anyone even consider buying a service contract on a Honda? When ordering my coupe the dealership asked me if I want one (I know it's a high margin item). My response was absolutely not, if I wanted one I be at the Kia or GM dealership.
Hondas have such generally great reliabilty I can't see how they can try to sell one without laughing. We've driven various Honda vehicle (some bought new some used with over 100k miles on them ) around 700k miles and have had only 1 repair for $80 something that wasn't a normal replacement type item. |

This has been discussed a lot already. Some people like the peace of mind. Others feel it's not worth it given that Honda has a good reputation for quality and reliability.
In any case, you can wait to decide to get an extended warranty. Check out collegehillshonda.com. They sell the warranty on-line and have good prices. You can buy the warranty any time up to 6000 miles. |
