Depends on what kind of performance you want. IMO, the Si is one of the best performaing cars under 23k, but if you don't need crazy performance, look also at the mazda 3, sedan or hatch. I prefer the hatch, personally, and you can option that up to just about any kind of car you want. Also, consider the VW GTIl. Its got a nicer interior and more torque, but slightly less fun and more expensive. Good luck!

for looks and design you should check out the 08 altima coupe 2.5s for $20,490 base price. You can get the 07 v6 camry for around $22,000 before tax but i heard its not good because of transmission problems.

oil leak, master clutch cylinder, SRS light (twice) <-- they had for 2 days both times....

the car randomly stalls sometimes, the CEL light came on once or twice were i could not rev higher then 3500, the car is 1 year old... i should not have to be worried to take my car places and it making it home without anything going wrong.

also try the new Cooper-S. that thing has super low-end torque with that
new turbo motor. almost no turbo lag... it feels like a V6. i test drove one
earlier this week while i was waiting for my 03 cooper-s getting its service
done.

it is a completely improved machine... the shifter is super smooth too.
too bad the appearance is not as good as the one i got.

hey, i'm on the same boat of lookin for a new car but i don't kno which one to get... i was thinkin about either MX-5 or WRX TR. the only problem is that standard MX-5 is no power and no ac... only thing about these two is i still think it isn't as sexy as our civics
