So they decided to use the Ralliart trim again?
I think I heard somewhere that they were gonna abandon that?

I've seen the 08 Lancer around my city, a white one yesterday afternoon.. I gotta say its pretty slick looking.

from the view of spy pictures, theres seem to be no differences between regular lancer and lancer Ralliart.

2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart: Mitsubishi spreads the Evo magic

The Lancer has been about the only successful car line to come from Mitsubishi in recent years, due in no small part to the fanatical enthusiast following generated by the turbocharged, all-wheel-drive, rally-bred Evo models.

The all-new Evo X is one of the most anticipated new cars from Japan (along with the Nissan GT-R). Mitsubishi sources are confirming that regular iterations of the next Lancer will share a lot more Evo DNA in a bid to boost sales.

The turbocharged, all-wheel-drive Lancer Ralliart shown above is intended to be more mild-mannered than the Evo X and has been designed to compete with Subaru's WRX.

It's meant to be a halfway step between the regular Lancer sedans and the all-out performance version to give Mitsubishi a car line with broader appeal.

If it has 220 hp like the article says, I would love it. These look pretty nice on the road, and the only thing that got me down was the hp. If they released this before I bought my Si, I might have waited.

Wow.. I had no idea that they were intending on releasing a competitor for the wrx. Nice. Can't wait to see it.
