Unhappy Wreck Anyone?

Anyone been in a wreck yet? I just got my Habenaro Red Civic Si 1/26/06, and someone rear-ended me Tuesday. Hadn't even had the car a week. Paper plate and all. So depressing...

If it makes you feel better, my Hab Red Si has a huge ass paint chip. Not nearly a "wreck" per se, but it pisses me off to no end that some ****** would go through the trouble of hitting me when I park twenty miles away from anything more than an inch off of the ground.

The problem is that people just do not respect small cars. They tailgate, cut you off just because you are in a small car. I say this because it has been years since I owned a small car. Got rid of my quad cab dodge 1500 and noticed the disrespect instantly. Large vehicles must pay with brake checks.:)

It's kind of annoying actually.. Not only that but everyone CONSISTANTLY tries to race the 06, everywhere. I don't feel I have anything to prove, I'd rather keep my car intact.

To the threadstarter, good luck on your claim, and post pics! We all wanna see how bad.

Sucks about your car, bro. I've been lucky so far. No one has tried to take me out yet. Although, I've noticed lots of people want to race...and I'm even in a sedan.

This sucks Being rear-ended blows. I had 97 Civic only a week and a half before I got rear-ended. But your color is completely custom (for a factory color). Good luck getting that fixed man. You should lemme get that bumper though. :)

Condolences for your loss.

There ought to be a law that anyone who hits a car that's less than 1 month old has to buy the victim a new one.

2k in damage with 324 miles took Delviery 10/8/05. Took 3 weeks to get the parts for the car.

Getting rear-ended sucks, esp if you were stopped. I'm an extremely defensive driver now, braking slowly so that somebody not paying attention won't ram into me. Sadly enough, it's those unattentive drivers that typically don't leave three car lengths distance too.

I know what you're sayin. Same thing happened to me but in the front
Needless to say if i found out who did it, i would start my career on detailing cars with sticks and stones on his car!

I'm the same way. Had some idiot scuff the rear bumper on my old car by tapping it while I was stopped. Ever since then, I always keep a close eye on the cars coming up behind me when I'm stopping or already stopped.

Three days after I bought my WRX I was rear ended at a stop light at 2AM. What pissed me off was I had been sitting there for like 2 min and some drunk **** in her eclipse hit me. I get out of the car and she says "WTF you hit my car" At that point I busted out laughing and was like humm we will let the police determine who hit who.

Well, it's already in the shop. Will be done Monday. Their dang insurance company wouldn't replace the bumper because the shop (the dealer shop at that) told her that it was "repairable". I swear, if I can tell that the car has been hit when I get it back, I'm gonna go off!

You're lucky. Here in CA, the police will not even respond to a minor accident. And they won't testify unless they actually see it happen.

However, when one car has front end damage and the other has rear end damage, it'd take some fancy story telling to convince anyone that you hit her.

^ Actually, that happened to me, except opposite. Some drunk bitch went into reverse and hit my front end while we were in a line to get out of a parking lot. Her excuse was that her friend was behind me and she didn't see me because of her huge ****** SUV ass being in the way. I won, of course.
