New Transformer Hond Civic coming!

What better model to display of the new Civic than one that Transforms. The figure Civic will Transform into the robot known as Rumble, which was one of Soundwave's Cassette. While teh picture show the UK Civic, expect it to be the US version when it is released! It will be under the Transformers Binaltech line in Japan (in diecast metal) and in the US under the Transformers:Alternators line.

Hm...if I read that right, then, he's a Decepticon. Should I be happy or sad that the Civic is "evil?" Hmmm...

Don't worry, they'll eventually repaint him as an Autobot character. Oh and yes, I have a little obsession with Transformers...around 1200 of them are in my home office. :)

Man, that's amusing...my childhood on sale. Y'know, I'm sure I don't have the boxes, but I probably have a few of the earliest models in an old toybox somewhere...

Glad you clarified that. You're not the guy who legally changed his name to "Optimus Prime" are you?

No, but he is on one of the forums. I think that is going a little to far. I just got the bug when I saw the reissues in a Toys R Us and I thought how when I was a kid I said "When I'm older and have a job, I'll buy all of them." So I did!

Man, this is neat. Not only can I drive my Civic, I can transform it and pretend I'm taking over the universe! I remember watching The Transformers and G.I. Joe back-to-back after school each day as a child. I run across the box sets of the original tv series from time to time, but am always out of pocket money to pick them up. But I do have the movie, so I can relax in the glow of a glorified toy commercial whenever I want to. Now I just have to wait to find this on the store shelf. Seems to me this is a must-have.

I had no idea they were re-issuing Transformers as manufacturer cars. What cars/bots are out besides the STi? I may have to try to find them.

I've seen the STi and the Viper. I'm not sure of any others, but then again, I'm no die hard collector.

They have a couple of repaints of each car model, but the current cars they have are:
Subaru Impreza, Dodge Viper, Jeep Wrangler, C5 Corvette, Mazda RX-8, Honda S2000, New Mustang, Acura RSX, Scion xB, Dodge Ram, new Civic, and possibly a Jaguar.

Here's a list of some if you want to see them:
