Just bought my new weekend car/project

I just picked up a 73 firebird, which I have wanted for years.....I plan to drop a rebuilt 455 into it, it has 42K original miles, and is in very good shape, maybe some black paint and a trans am spoiler should go on it too.

Oooo! You'll have to bring that to the next Bay Area meet.

Not until I get it fixed up the way I want, which will probably take all summer.

Ohhhhhhhh, i had a huge thing for those (71-73) Trans Ams when i was like 15-16. You gotta put the shaker and the spoiler on that beast. Paint it blue w/ a fat ass white stripe. OMG i think i just busted a nut

Yeah, I have loved these since I was like 10. I think I'm gonna do a formula hood instead of a functional shaker hood though. I want to paint it black.

Where did you find information about rebuilding the engine, are there any forums? I can't seem to find anywhere on the internet with information about them. I'm debating building the 350 or just finding a 400-455 to drop in.

That's a mean looking car. I think a flat black or satin silver would look hot.
