sound deadening tint + how else to make the Si selectively quiet?
I want to reduce road noise in my FA5, and was wondering what I can do?
I have seen a few threads, and have searched, which is how I came accross someone saying there is sound deadening tint, where could I get this stuff? As far as decreasing sound in the interior, I want to decrease road noise, but if possible not engine noise. I have heard about the doors, trunk, floor, dash, and roof, and I would guess that maybe something could be done with the sunroof visor. any suggestions (where to put deadening, what to buy) or DIYs? |

to the OP, you can search "sound deadening" and also check out this DIY: DIY: Sound deadening the doors. its a kit put on the doors.. u can do the same to ur trunk as well as the cabin.. u just gotta pull out the carpets till its down to the metal and stick these things on.. put carpet back in .. hardest thing is paying for the material and knowing u r ripping ur cars interior apart to apply it.. hope this helps! |

I dunno if this is going to help reduce outside noise..... I think skunk2 or some popular performance company based out of Phoenix AZ., uses liquid foam to stiffen the chasis of the car. Before you fire up your torches, my thinking is that noise and sounds in particular creates vibrations for it to travel, reduce the vibrations hence will reduce the noise right? Just a thought.

Using ear plugs maybe illegal but what about the people who close their windows and blast their music, it's almost the samething. Also, with the ear plugs, cops would look at your ear while driving so you have nothing to worry about. And theres people with harleys that wear ear plugs because their bike's are f**ken loud.
