I hate Harleys

I am so sick of these loud-ass bikes cruising around town with their yuppie riders!!! Does your bike really need to be 80000000000 decibels????

The exhaust shakes the damn windows when they drive by!!!! And don't even get me started on the insane cost of these bikes that would be smoked my a Japanese bike for 1/3 the cost...

Just had to get that out...

I get pissed off whenever I hear any loud piped vehicle or mode of transportation in general.

I'm glad you, being an asshat, really do believe that loud pipes save lives, but the rest of us just think you're a tool.

Really. I mean it.

I hear you, CaliGuy. I hate it when I go to the Dragon, which everyone knows is a playground for sports cars and sportbikes, and those Harley riders are there. Around curves, I think they go as slow as they possibly can without falling over.

Also, they absolutely will not move over to let anyone pass. I think it's part of the Harley rider code: "To hell with everyone else on the road."

What about the guys that have the loud ass exhausts on compact car? I think thats WAAAAY more annoying.
As for your bike smoking them, Harleys are made for style, not speed. Like fat people.

It's no where near as loud as these bikes...plain and simple

I don't own any bike. I was really attacking their insane price more than anything...I mean 20k plus...what a joke...

They are just as loud, just a different sound. A harley gets half way down the road and you cant hear it anymore, ricer boy or crotch rocket gets 3 miles away and you still hear it.

Well, not here. I suppose we'll just have to agree to disagree...

This guy I work with had a few sportbikes several years ago and then finally decided he was going to grow up and get a Harley. He was testing a Fat Boy out and knew something was wrong when he put it in gear and it responded with a big jerk. The saleman told him that was normal. Anyway, he ended up buying the bike and he said everytime he went into a curve, he scraped and the thing was so slow. He ended up selling the Harley and buying himself a Kawasaki ZX-10.

Another thing: You can get a Japanese bike with very similar styling for 1/2 the price, but it doesn't have the almightly "Harley-Davidson" emblem and the insanely loud exhaust...

Last I had heard the reliability of Harley was crap too...

Plus, the Japanese bikes are much better at everything but they lack the "Harley mystique".

I believe they actually have mufflers but the owners replace them with straight pipes.

I especially love how the guys in sport compacts get noise tickets, while all the Harley guys get left alone...

Double standard to the max...

Harleys guys do not get noise tickets, ive witnessed this at a bike night in florida.

and the reason those bikes cost so much is for the name and the culture........

Maybe in FL. I've never heard of or seen such here in Cali...

I agree. IDK about you guys but paying 12k for a name is pretty lame to me...

What culture is this? The culture of the tool?

Oh, and WTF is up with having to keep revving these bikes so they don't stall??? That's true quality right there :rolls eyes:

what i really dont get is people who pay $50,000+ for those 'custom choppers' which to my understanding use clones of stone age harley engines/trannies and are pretty unreliable.
