Blue tape

Will that blue painters tape stuff stick to the plastic interior of the civic? I also have some interior protectant sprayed on some of the plastic so i dont know how much that will affect the adhesion.... I want to stick it to the lower door panels and down by the footwells etc..

I'm gonna have three passengers tonight and we are probably gonna make a stop or two. I know my plastic is gonna get scuffed to hell unless i cover it up. So I want some advice on the tape before i go out and buy it. BTW what places sell this stuff?

I just bought some yesterday from the Home Depot, they sell it in singles or 4 packs. Check Lowes if you don't have one nearby.

I'll try home depot. I have nxt protectant down low on the doors. Its somewhat greasy, not as much as armor all though... maybe i'll try wiping off as much of the protectant that i can with a damp rag. Theres no way i'm bringing all these people into my car without covering the vulnerable plastic. i can bitch to them but people still make mistakes and kick the plastic.

Well i ended up taping up the car. So no scuffs for me. The blue tape stuck to the interior, but just barely, this was because i had some protectant on the panels. it peeled off clean too

blue painters tape is a little weak...did you try like an autoparts store that has actual automotive tape? That stuff sticks nicely & peals off like butter.....unless you have some armorall on it

on my other car that has very delicate (weak) interior paint i use blue tape
and it works fine.

i usually dont use masking tape inside though... i use a utility MF towel
and spray product into that first, then just wipe on.
