Scangauge 2 owners?

I was wondering if the people who own the scangauge 2 like it, and if it works well. Does the gas mileage it gives you seem to be accurate, and do all the features that are listed work with the car? Thanks

I have a SG I and it works very well. My mpg readings are within a couple of tenths when I do my hand calc's at fill up time. It has to be adjusted some. Its all in the directions. Intake air temp, water temp, real time mpg, map, lod, throttle position all that stuff works.

I will get a SG II when data logging becomes part of the units features.

Just installed mine. Hopefully we can get the codes to program in other gauges. I like to be able to see oil temp, cylinder head temps, auto trans temp, oil pressure... etc etc.

I bought one and sold it after a month. Its works well and is pretty cool, it was just annoying having it around and worrying about it turning on. Great for tracking your mileage on any trip and seeing how hard you press the acc correlates to mileage. Kinda wish I still had it to track any changes with my mods. Overall its worth using for a little while at least.

There is no on/off switch on the SGII. It is ON by defaults once the car is turned on. It returns to its last configuration from when it was shut down.

If your does not do that, then you have a defective unit.

ScanGauge DIY

Here's where I mounted my ScanGauge using a mirror mount kit I found on eBay. I like it not flopping around on the dash, or down low where it's not convenient to look at. And, not a wire in sight! I put together a rather detailed DIY taking apart the A-Pillar on 06/07 Civic sedan, but I can't start a new thread in the DIY forum area, or post a pdf file > 976 kb (DIY pdf is 1.65 MB, 16 pictures) . If any one wants a copy so it can be posted, I'll be glad to send it to you. Or maybe there's another way to do it that I'm not aware of. Sorry, I don't want to send to everyone who requests it, I'd rather have it available for all. Ken

Peachy, thanks for the clarification. I do get the 'dead' screen now and then if I unlock my car, then lock it again without starting the car. It is annoying when that happens.
