'06 Si / Alabaster Silver / HFP 7-spoke rims

Heh gang... from Halifax, Nova Scotia CANADA... been driving my new Si for about two weeks... I upgraded the rims to Honda's HFP 17" gun metal gray wheels, and they look great... I'm in love with this little car... pics to follow (if it will ever stop snowing here in Halifax !)

Post some pics when you can. No doubt you could easily sell the original wheels if you got the urge or needed the money.

Great to hear there are others in Halifax with SI's. I am getting mine last week of January, red one.

I test drove a silver one with the HFP wheels, and it felt a little bumpy, I thought they were 18" wheels not 17" ones?

I have had a 2001 SI for years now, and it has been a letdown on the performance side, I am excited to finally get one with some balls.

Are you having fun in your's yet?

I say you put winter tires on the original wheels and leave the HFPs to better climates :)

I'm in Halifax as well and should be picking up my Fiji Blue SI from Colonial Honda early next week. Went with Michelin X-Ice on 16" winter rims, and I'm gonna save the 17" rims with the stock Pilot MXM tires for the summer. Debating upgrading to the summer Pilot PE2 Exalto tires. Anyone driven with those yet?

I know those stock tires suck emu eggs, but I'm not sure how they are compared to the Pilot PE2s. TOV mentioned them when they first got their Si way back when and said they were pretty good but could be better. But they plan on really racing the car. I don't think you want to do that so I'd assume you'd be ok with the PE2s. But get rid of those stockies. They don't seem as bad until you get a better tire.

Thanks, I'll call my dealer tomorrow and see what I can do about upgrading the tires. Figured I wasn't gonna need the all season's anyway, since I'm getting the snows.

'06 Si Alabaster Silver HFP 17" rims / Pics...

Here's the pics... click to:

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/swhoel...bum?.dir=/1338

I traded in the original 17" rims, for these 17" HFP's... I have winter tires on them now... I kept the original Michelin Pilot's, and will put them on these rims in the spring... I actually like the Pilot's - had them on another performance car prior to this one, and they worked well...

Halifax (Canadian2k1si)... Haberno red Si, eh ?... Vvvvery nice... that's a unique color, and will definately make your ride stand out... only the Si's get that coating !... we should get together for coffee some time, and compare notes !... I love this car, and can't stop driving it !!!..

PS
for under 20 bucks, I added chrome trim on the air vent louvers... with the other chrome trim in the interior, it was a very inexpensive upgrade and looks awesome... you may be able to notice it with the interior pic...

I am actually getting the Ralley Red one, I didn't like the color of the Habenero or I would have been driving it right now. How much extra for the trade up to HFP 17's? Your silver one looks great by the way.

$500 off MSRP. No hidden costs, no b.s. costs. I'm a repeat buyer. My girl bought 2 of her cars there and she knows the owner, so all that helps. Now I'm just waiting for it to come in.

Your car looks great, I'm not sure whether the civic coupes look better with or without skirts.
