06 Cobalt SS tranny problem?
I just came across this at a Cobalt site.
First 06 to blow tranny Just thought I'd share. I see at least 2 people with tranny problems and the car was released last year*. I'm hoping we don't see these issues like that in the Civic. I'm sure the least of our concerns is the 2-3rd gear grind inherited from the RSX-S... But I thought that was fixed already in the later RSX-S's. *Edit: The ION Redline was released in late 2003 I believe. Same tranny. |

The link is broken for me. I almost got an 06 SS before I decided on the civic. Not really the cars fault but the dealer... a**holes. I still like the car but I did want something a little more practical since I have a project/summer car anyway. Mostly I think that they are still good cars.

I don't necessarily think the it's the dealer or the cars fault. I think it was just first year problems. Maybe they tried something different on the 06s. (Who knows?). I think the RSX tranny problem was fixed with the 05s. I know though, that the S2Ks had that tranny grinding problem too.
