Edmund's Full Test of 06 Si
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=108019
I hope Edmunds is wrong on the price!!! If the base price really is $20,600 then Honda has broken it's promise to all it's consumers. |

Holy sh't.....
"Our Civic Si went to the test track the same day as a Corvette Z06, a Viper and a Ford GT, yet, it stayed with these high rollers in the slalom, running through the 600-foot cone course at almost 68 mph. That's faster than the Viper and only a hair behind the Corvette's performance. " |

It has been speculated that the $20,600 includes destination, etc.

the si will probably never really be a dragster, but that's okay. neither will miatas or mini coopers.
handling is where it's at with the new Sis. I was reading the slalom times for the Si and it does clock faster than a new Viper SRT, BUT a mini cooper will still smoke them both. lol. still, the Si should be a pocket rocket for the ages when it's released. |

I was actually disappointed when I saw the torque numbers for the Si because the hp/torque ratio is very unbalanced and usually the two are closer than the Si's numbers. |

I figured the Si was going to need premium gas with such a high compression ratio and edmunds confirms it.
Bummer. I was thinking of trading my Ex for an Si when they hit the lots but not anymore. A 10 mpg and 87 to 91+ octane trade is a little more than I care to deal with. |

Well, hopefully in 10 days (Dec 1) any questions on MSRP should be cleared up.
