wow that little honda bike looks rad, and would be perfect for a first time rider like myself! How much are they going to cost?

So if you're going to get your license... read the book and get your learners. After that go register with an accredited riding school. I recommend PRS personally, others have their own opinions. Do some reason and choose the one you see fit.

Other than that, good choice in getting a small bike. Don't be a typical Asian poser and get a big bike just cause you think it's cool and heaven forbid you wear kappa track pants while riding .

So in order:
1) Read book
2) Get learners
3) Book a course
4) Pass the course
4) Take road test
5) Get some good gear
5) Get a small bike or a used bike
6) Go for a ride

I may be picking up another bike this season. Let me know how your adventure goes.
Oh yes PRS, I've heard many great things about them

Good Luck & Wear Your Gear!
Well the 125 is just something to get from point A to point B.

It's like a 50cc scooter on mad steroids.

This was my last bike:

'96 Yamaha YZF750... last of Yamaha's 750 supesport.

It had a bunch of race goodies and a built motor... it gave me a lot of grins!

Would probably have been faster if I wasn't so out of shape in that pic

Dent
I'd personally choose the black R1.

well this one is my favourite because it's MINE!!!

If I'd had the choice for the same money, I would have gone with this colour scheme..

or one of these..

Here's a high res photo of the 07 CBR in black (couldn't find one in a smaller size)

what bike did you have before this? an R1 is a hell of a machine!!
