Future Honda Civic Type R?!

These guys seem to think so...

I'm not so sure but it's fun to wonder about ....

Honda shows future Civic Type-R?

PUBLISHED: 02/11/2005

At the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show (SEMA) in Las Vegas, Honda shows their in-house tuners' take on the 2006 Civic.

It is expected that the tuning enhancements shown at the SEMA show either are - or will be pretty close to - the as of yet unrevealed Honda Civic Type-R.

The Civic Si show car gets a 200-horsepower iVTEC 2.0-litre Dual overhead cam (DOHC) engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, a limited slip differential, and lots of other goodies. The vehicle looks very close to being production-ready, which is how the Type-R rumours started.

Honda UK declined to comment on the one-off model displayed at SEMA, but the Honda fan-forums are red-hot with excitement over the possibility to see the red badge return to the Civic platform.

Ah, yes....I believe that was me

Seriously though, that's not a Type-R. Check the other thread. It was designed by RJ DeVera. He wanted the bodykit to be an alternative HFP option. The car itself is a 20th anniversary edition Si (to commemorate the Si's 20th birthday).

That's a completely different article on the same car and makes no mention of a this being a future Type R at all. The source : Honda Press Release - not the same ....

Well actually, that isnt going to be the Type-R,

THEY WILL NEVER BRING THE TYPE-R to our shores and those pictures are of a repost, of a repost.

So the REAL REPOST REPOST POLICE COMMISIONER IS STILL CALLING IT A REPOST.

I will be calling many more in the future, dont worry im just making a joke, and in a friendly way trying to get people to search. SO those are nice pics, and once again, have a good day. I can make you a repost police deputy though if you would like...haha. you can put it in your sig too.

I'm having a bit of fun too ...

I actually looked to see if it had been posted but failed to notice the thread entitled: " Yessir...". lol

I also tend to be skeptical about any Type R being released as the 06 Si was designed with tuners in mind. Add the Honda performance packages and there is little need for a Type R .....
