MS3 throws a .88 and a 69mph as well, not as good but couple that with the power that these cars have over the FR-S and they are much more appealing IMO

All of those slalom speeds and lateral g loads are primarily limited by the type of tires that come on the car. My stock WRX pulls 1.4+ lateral G's, and its got nothing to do with the car.

even books are way more expensive.
When my dollar was worth $.73, there was a legitamat reason. I don't think you would wan't to pay a premium of 10k for just living in canada to have a new car. Gas is also a fun topic. We have more oil then the USA , export the **** out of it and re-import it for 4x the cost.

$1.41 for premium PER liter which equats to $5.34 per gallon. We have a reason, and I really don't care about any arguments relating to other countries that aren't adjacent to mine.

But, the companies that export their goods to Canada are more than happy to screw the whole country over, because it's not like Canada can suddenly start up its own industries to make everything.
I can't even answer why this is even an issue still with the exchange rate. Also there are stupid trade rules that effectively prevent you from buying a new car in the US and import it into canada to save money. Its actually rediculous and I don't see any really good compairsons on paper for that car to even reach that price CND.

very true. We are all nitpicking about what handles/performs better stock but in reality it comes down to who is going to dump more money into their car because the people who buy these cars we are talking about are most likely to blow cash on after market parts.

Considering the fact every journalists or reviewer who has touched this car loves it I say Toyota/Subaru did something right.

It is a slightly bigger, slightly quicker, 2+2 seater hardtop Mazda Miata. These will be owned by people who enjoy driving for ones own person enjoyment, not 3 beep drag racing vs your buddies stage 2 GTI. I find it highly ironic Civic Si owners would hate on the FR-S. The Civic Si is the embodiment of the same thing folks are hating on - basically not being a cookie cutter hatchback with 4-pot turbo power.

I'm not going to buy the FR-S or BRZ simply because I already found my comfortable highway cruiser in the form of a GTI. I have nothing against those who buy the FR-S because they clearly enjoy driving more than I do.

Outright acceleration yes.

But have you driven an FR-S or BRZ to confirm the drive is better?

According to IL the only S2000 tests they have give the S2000 only a low 6 second 0-60 time... which is not far from the Motortrend test of the BRZ.
As for grip and handling reviewers have said the Toy/Sci/Sub is the best handling entry level sports car they have driven with perhaps the exception of the RX-8.

I had a minor accident and the car wasn't the same after. A deal on a loaded 2010 CPO model was available so I took it.

Why's the FR-S starting point the same as the BR-Z? Doesn't make any sense. I thought the reason why the scion has a worse interior, a junk head unit instead of navigation, cheaper seats, no HID's, run of the mill halogens, no push to start button, no climate control and cheaper paint compared to the subie was to undercut it in price. By a couple thousand at least.

I must be missing something
