Lol.

I'd def take the Vantage over the vette and SRT-10. By my desires in what I want out of a car in that range are a blend of performance with luxury. The Vette and SRT10 are monters though.

Very different desires would go into who wants what from each of those cars.

The Vantage is one of three 'Dream Cars' for me.

idrive is GREAT ... i like it a lot ...

where's the list ... yall can put me in there ...

but remember there's supposed to be an is500 or is550 from lexus ... though i think that's more in line to compete with the M ... it's worth taking a look at ... maybe ... for sure it won't be as dollar friendly as the 135!

Oh, yeah, definitely a different desire! While the 'Vette and SRT-10 are good bang for buck (sort of on the SRT-10), the Aston just makes you think of mechanical beauty (though the interior is quite dated).

See, again, me and Janizary are apparently on the same wavelength. It's not about power, it's about just having the car and enjoying it. And, let's face it, girls may love BMW...but imagine when you pony up in the Baby Aston...

It's just a saying. But you can't deny the absolute beauty that the Aston is compared to any of the listed cars. I occasionally see a DB9 driving in the area...and even at night, when it's pitch black, I *know* it's coming. It has my cargasm senses tingling like a mofo. And had I an Aston Vantage, I'd at least have the money so the girls can be interested.

...yeah, I'm pathetic.

For the money quoted, yeah, lotus elise. It's still my all-time favorite. The only thing that bothers me now is that it's actually heavier than the european one. Suck. You're sure it was brighter though? Elise don't come with HIDs, unless he put some PnPs in there....

...I was talking to Beverly Hills Lotus and I got them down to 42k for a new '07 with the hardtop, touring package, and a maybe on the AC delete.

The Aston's for cruising, the Lotus is for...well, driving.

If I can somehow find an old S1 Elise that had the old B18C5 engine in it though, I'm sure I wouldn't be able to stand up with all the cream I just wet myself with.

I guess I just fancy myself a British car manufacturer nut. If I could, I'd love to sport an older Triumph drop top...

contradiction?

by the way, you do know that in the 328xi and 335xi the car is RWD by default and only gives power to the front wheels if teh back loose traction right?
what traction control is that if you can't turn it off, if not i will be looking in a different car

I believe you can turn it off:

from: http://edbmw.com/blog/2007/06/28/bmw...-press-photos/

BMW’s Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) also includes a Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) function that provides electronic intervention to prevent loss of vehicle control, but at a higher threshold before activation. This allows the driver to experience more spirited driving on dry roads and offers more flexibility when driving in more challenging conditions such as in the snow. If the driver desires, both DSC and DTC can be disabled entirely. Active Steering, a variable ratio steering system exclusive to BMW, is available as an option. The DSC system on the 135i Coupe is designed specifically for performance-oriented driving. For instance, the accelerator pedal has a quicker response rate and electronic rear brake management is used to simulate a differential lock for stronger acceleration in turns.

Well now I've got my dad looking at this car. But we'd have to do something about those headlights.

Paint them darker? Eyelids? Unclear them?

Yes I know it is ironic that I would want to make the headlights darker and with less chrome. But I am not feeling it on this car. Too bright and wide eyed.

I hope they bring the hatch over. I kind of like it too.

135i 5-door hatch would be sweet. You can't actually fit anything in the hatch area, well not much, but it does have a certain appeal. You're right about the headlights though. I'd...hmm, black them completely with the exception of the projector. Then put orange diffusers. Yeah, I know, why put amber in? Well, Alpine White + Amber FTW. That's just me though.

Yeah, is it weird or hypocritical that I would want the turn signals orange in this car? Haha.
*Shrug* I think all clear works well on our cars. This thing could benefit from a little tinkering.

I'd have to photoshop some eyelids to see if you could make the headlights look a little more devilish or glaring than current "OMGHI2U!!!"

Dunno Gonzo, I always thought the Mugen SS S2000 front bumper had the "OMGHi2UWantSumRitalin" effect on it... It just LOOKS like it's going . Can you imagine that coming at you in your rearview, on the track? I'd laugh myself out of line and crash into a wall.

Although, that said, I still like the SS...and that Aston DBS just about stopped my frail little heart...
