Ok, so in any race, well at least straight line anyway, it comes down to one principal. power to weight ratio.
SO, that means there are 3 things u can do to make a car faster.
1. Increase power
2. Decrease weight
3. Both
Ok, so how is it possible that a stock 2008 gti can do a quarter mile in about half a sec quicker than the 8th gen si. Both have 200hp (give or take a couple hp), but the si weighs 500lbs less!!
The si p/w ratio is 14.6, whereas the gti is 16! Can someone explain to me how the gti puts down a slights better 0-60 time and quarter time? I know it has more torque, obviously, but with the si having a much better p/w ratio, how is this possible??
someone edcucate me please lol
